Eight people injured, police yet to ascertain the cause

A blast has been reported in Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train at Shujalpur some 130 kilometres from Bhopal. Railway Medical emergency vans have rushed to the spot.

According to preliminary information, eight people have been injured and have been taken to a nearby government hospital.

The Superintendent of Railway Police Ms Krishna Veni confirmed the blast but did not elaborate on the cause of blast. Teams from railway police and Railway Protection Force have rushed to the spot.

The explosion took place around 9.30 am today when the train was going towards Ujjain.
