A confident Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that after the poll results are out, the BJP will play ‘Vijay ki Holi’ (Holi of victory) in UP.

Holi, the festival of colours in North India, falls just a day after the Assembly poll results are announced.

He further added that maiden decision of the first cabinet of UP government will be to waiver the loans of farmers. The PM was addressing a public rally in Mau, before the sixth phase of the election.

In his speech, he covered a wide range of issues from law and order to development, poverty and even donkeys.

He described the Congress as sinking ship, while accusing the BSP and the SP of attempting to form a hung assembly so that they could could exploit the situation.

He said that after initial rounds of polling, both the SP and BSP had conceded defeat — which is why they were talking of a hung assembly.

Mocking the UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, Modi said that had the issue of development been in Akhilesh’s mind, he would not have been talking about donkeys of Gujarat.

All the parties are pumping their energy into the remaining phases of the polls.

He categorically said that BJP will get the majority in UP. Attacking the SP, he said that once the polls were declared, the party got so scared that it decided to join hands with the Congress.

He said that the BJP will work for uplifting the poor in the state.
