Taking potshots at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who is on a foreign tour, a BJP leader on Thursday announced a reward of Rs one lakh to anyone who locates or provides information about his whereabouts.

Vijendra Singh Sisodia, the spokesperson of BJP's Madhya Pradesh Unit, said: “I will give Rs one lakh from my own pocket to anyone who finds out the address of Rahul Gandhi.”

Referring to Rahul's previous foreign tour, Sisodia said Rahul had gone to Thailand, Malaysia, Bangkok and Singapore though his party had maintained that he had gone for a brainstorming session and would return re-energized.

“Now Congressmen believe that his energy levels are running low and hence he went (abroad) again to get charged. Where has he gone? Who did he meet with? How does he get charged? How many days does he remain charged? The country wants to know it,” he said.

On June 20, a day after his 46th birthday, Rahul Gandhi had announced on Twitter that he was travelling out of the country on a short visit. However he had not disclosed the destination and other details of his tour.

The Congress party reacted sharply to Sisodia's comments with party spokesperson Ravi Saxena saying that the BJP leaders are suffering from 'Rahul phobia'. Pointing out that Rahul is a person with SPG protection, Saxena quipped, “If Sisodia is so keen to find out where Rahul Gandhi is, he should ask the home minister for the details and pay him the reward amount."

Rahul's mysterious sabbatical last year had triggered a political storm with BJP targeting the Congress scion over his absence during the budget session of Parliament.
