Kailash Vijayvargiya, BJP’s general secretary in-charge of West Bengal, on Wednesday warned Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that if the Trinamool Congress does not take steps to stop violence, the BJP would be forced to react. He was referring to the violence that followed the arrest of TMC leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay in connection with the chit fund scam.

“We are not Gandhi-badi. We are Deendayal Upadhyaya-badi. We will not sit idle,” Vijavarghya said.

The senior BJP leader further warned the CM saying, “Trinamool Congress is a West Bengal political party. But we have presence from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. If we decide, didi would not be able to move around the country”.

Vijavargva said if needed the BJP could stop Mamata and other Trinamool Congress MPs from entering Delhi. “She is hitting us. But if we could prevent them from entering Delhi, will that be good?”

He said the BJP hasn't demanded president's rule in the state, but if the situation remained the same, they would demand it. “As of now, we are not demanding it. But if the chief minister is not serious about curbing the attack, we may have to take that path”.

BJ state president Dilip Ghosh said BJP offices and workers were attacked in 17 different places in the state and added that the BJP would be forced to react if they are attacked again.
