After Sehwag and Hooda, Rijiju trolls Gurmehar Kaur

gurmehar-kaur-virender-sehwag Virender Sehwag 'mocked’ Gurmehar Kaur by posting a picture of self, holding a similar placard that said: “I didn’t score two triple centuries, my bat did”

After Rijiju joined Sehwag and Hooda in allegedly bullying Gurmehar Kaur, Twitter has been abuzz with reactions pouring in from all quarters

Stirring yet another controversy, MoS Home Kiren Rijiju reacted to Gurmehar Kaur's social media campaign 'Not Afraid of ABVP' on Twitter with a post suggesting that the slain Kargil war soldier's daughter was being influenced by vested interests.

Replying to a video made by Kaur last year, he tweeted: “Who's polluting this young girl's mind? A strong armed force prevents a war. India has never attacked anyone, but a weak India was always invaded.” He justified himself in a later tweet claiming that everyone had a right to air their views.

A Lady Sri Ram College student, Kaur started a Twitter campaign called 'Not Afraid of ABVP', protesting against the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) students' wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) who was accused of violence at Ramjas College last week. The campaign had gone viral. Kaur's Twitter profile picture shows her holding a placard that reads: "I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me. #StudentsAgainstABVP."

On Wednesday, Kaur changed her profile picture on Facebook to similar one on Twitter. Her Facebook post said: "The brutal attack on innocent students by ABVP is very disturbing and should be stopped. It was not an attack on protestors, but an attack on every notion of democracy that is held dear in every Indian's heart. It is an attack on ideals, morals, freedom and rights of every person born to this nation."

Before Rijiju took to Twitter to make his opinion on Kaur's activism public, Indian cricket player Virender Sehwag on Sunday 'mocked’ Kaur by posting a picture of self, holding a similar placard that said: “I didn’t score two triple centuries, my bat did”, with a post saying: 'Bat me hai Dum!'

Sehwag found support in actor Randeep Hooda, who shared the tweet with a series of funny emoticons. Later, Hooda posted a tweet alleging that Kaur was being used as a “political pawn”, to which he got a prompt response from a fierce Kaur.

Since then Twitter has been abuzz with reactions pouring in from all quarters, with  Rijiju, Hooda, Sehwag and Kaur taking the center stage.

This is not the first time Kaur has stood up for a cause. Last year, the daughter of Captain Mandeep Singh had made a video asking people to let go of hate, asking India and Pakistan to settle their disputes peacefully. In the video, she displays a series of placards, telling her story and how hating each other is not the answer. One of the placards she holds, says, “Pakistan did not kill my dad, war killed him.” If you watch the video, you know that this is just a small part of the complete picture, conveniently picked to create controversy. The full sentence being, “When I was 6 years old, I tried to stab a lady in burkha because for some strange reason I thought that she was responsible for my father's death. But my mother held me back and made me understand that Pakistan did not kill my dad, war killed him." In the next few placards, she talks about how she let go of hate and how every one can do it.
