Party’s national general secretary Bhupendra Yadav, Union minister Venkaiah Naidu and other observers are likely to be present at the meeting of the legislators

Suspense over the name of UP chief minister will be end by Saturday evening after BJP’s elected legislators agree on a name for the post. The meeting of party legislators will be convened around 4:30 pm at the Lok Bhavan. The new chief minister will take oath of office on Sunday.

The BJP, along with the Lucknow administration, has finalised the date, time and venue for the oath. The oath will be administered at Smiriti Upvan at 2:15 pm, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The UP BJP head Keshav Prasad Maurya and party’s general secretary Sunil Bansal will be present at the legislature party meeting convened to elect the new chief minister. Around 40 ministers will take oath along with the chief minister.

Party’s national general secretary Bhupendra Yadav, Union minister Venkaiah Naidu and other observers are likely to be present at the meeting of the legislators.

Initially, the administration had selected three venues—Ramabai Maidan, K.D Singh Babu stadium, La Martiniere college ground. But these venues, where former chief ministers of UP have taken oath, were dropped because of different reasons.

Finally Smiriti Upvan was chosen because the venue was developed by former BJP government in the memory of Kargil martyrs.
