The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s Parliamentary Party meeting was held at the Parliament on Wednesday during which party president Amit Shah urged the Members of Parliaments to actively involve themselves in explaining the key aspects of the Budget to people in their constituencies.

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu, addressing the media after the meeting, said Budget was made keeping all the sections of the society in mind, adding that MPs must ensure that its benefits reach people.

“Our party president Amit Shah gave guidance to Members of Parliaments. He said the Budget is popular one, which was made keeping everyone in mind. Even the opposition is lauding the Budget. MPs have a big role to play to ensure that the benefits of the Budget reaches people,” he said.

“They should pro-actively highlight the various aspects of the Budget. They should go to constituencies and explain to people in detail and involve people to take the message to the grass root level,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Congress party will raise the Raipur Church attack issue and the Ishrat Jahan case in the Lok Sabha.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will respond to the Motion of Thanks to the President for his address in the Rajya Sabha at 2 pm.
