A 16-year-old girl, hailing from Siliguri of West Bengal, claimed that she was raped by over a 100 men including cops.
According to media reports, the minor girl was brought to Pune on the promise of a job and was forced into prostitution in January 2014. Over the period next two years, she was coerced into have sex with several people and was forced to undergo an abortion, the victim said.
Five people, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with the case.
The victim comes from a poor family and has a troubled childhood. Her father left her mother who later became mentally ill. She used to stay with her grandmother who owned a tea stall.
One of the arrested accused saw the girl at the tea shop and promised her a job. She was told that she will be working in a beauty parlor in Pune. She arrived in the city and began working at the place as promised.
After a few days, the girl was raped by the man who brought her to Pune and he forced her to have sex with several men after drugging her. She was taken to various places in the city and outside the state during this period.
The girl, along with a 24-year-old aspiring model from Delhi who was tortured after she refused to offer sexual favours for helping her with her acting career, managed to escape from the custody of the accused and reach Delhi.
The case came to light when the model got admitted into a hospital for treating burn injuries. The cops were alerted and an FIR was registered.
Further investigation is under way.
