An encounter broke out on Sunday between militants and security forces in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.
"An encounter has started in Kakapora area of Pulwama district after a cordon and search operation was launched in the area," an army official said.
He said intermittent exchange of firing was going on between the two sides and so far there has been no report of any casualty.
