Should women change their surname after marriage? This is no new topic for debate.
Actor-turned-author Twinkle Khanna, or Mrs Funnybones on social media, rested her case with tact and grace, when asked why she did not change her surname from Khanna to Kumar (or Bhatia since Akshay Kumar's real name is Rajeev Bhatia) on Twitter.
The user reached out to Twinkle thus:
A lot of people bring this up,though not as stridently as this gentleman-Khanna it will always be #MarriedNotBranded pic.twitter.com/q4JzS1bzd1

In a curt response, the actor tweeted: “A lot of people bring this up,though not as stridently as this gentleman-Khanna it will always be #MarriedNotBranded"
Later, Twinkle shared a screenshot of the above tweets on her Instagram page as well.
Soon, Twitterati were supporting the actor with hilarious tweets. Meanwhile, the man who created the hoopla apologised to Twinkle, tweeting: "@mrsfunnybones sorry if my question hurts u madam I just ask that's all".
@mrsfunnybones Please change your name to Twinkle Kumari and become 100% sanskaari.
