The plot speeds up in Game of Thrones season 7

The Game of Thrones season 7 trailer gives away some interesting hints

The mother of all wars is finally here and it feels like viewers have been waiting for it for as long as the characters have been. The previous season of Game of Thrones saw a few cathartic moments like Sansa's tormentor Ramsay Bolton dying, the head sparrow dying and revelation that Jon Snow is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, which means he could be the rightful descendant to the throne as much as Dany is. Dany finally gets her boats and her dragons are all grown up. And Arya gets her revenge by killing Walder Frey.

The season definitely left us asking for more and waiting with bated breath for the 'great war'. From the new trailer, it looks like season seven will be eventful. From what is being said, season seven has eight episodes and season eight, seven. So, it looks like the creators and writers of the series are speeding up the plot lines.

Looking at the trailer, everyone including Jon Snow and Cersei are getting ready for the great war. Jamie is standing next to Cersei as she says: “We are the only Lannisters, the only ones who count...” Dany is seen sitting at Dragonstone, the Targaryen's ancestral home. And it looks like her soldiers are taking on either Casterly Rock or Kings Landing.

It looks like Littlefinger is still trying to manipulate Sansa by trying to convince her that Jon Snow is a bastard child and she, a legitimate Stark should be ruling the seven kingdoms. Later, we see Jon Snow bashing him up- which we feel he deserves on some level, as all of us know that Littlefinger had hinted in marrying Sansa in one of the earlier seasons (eww!).

It also looks like Arya could be reunited with her sister after all these years! We also see the Dothraki army launching an attack at Westeros. And it looks like Missandei and Grey Worm hook up and so do Yara and Ellaria. What, however, is unclear from the trailer is Bran and Gendry's whereabouts.

So, there's a lot to look forward to this season, with each episode expected to be power-packed.
