Suriya Shivakumar’s Singam 3(S3) is all set to release on December 16, 2016. Directed by Hari, the final leg of the shoot of the third in the series of Singam franchise is all set to end soon.
S3 is expected to be yet another blockbuster for Suriya. This will be the fifth film in which Hari and Suriya have teamed together. The earlier two of the Singam series have proved to be a success for the actor. The first part was released in 2010 and the second hit the screens in 2013.
The third part will have Suriya , Shruti Hassan and Anushka Shetty in the lead. Produced by K.E. Gnanavelraja of Studio Green, who also produced the earlier two in the Singam series, the third part will have Suriya once again donning the role of a sincere police officer.
While the producers have now officially announced S3’s release date as December 16, the buzz is that it has been postponed only to avoid a box office clash with his brother Karthi’s period drama Kashmora, which is set to release in October. However sources in the industry say that the S3’s shoot is still underway and it has nothing to do with the release date of Kashmora.
The first look posters of Kashmora were released in August. According to sources, Karthi is playing the role of a warlord. The posters featured him with a shaved head and sporting a thick beard. Karthi, sources in the industry say, is pinning his hopes on the success of this multi-genre period film directed by Gokul.
Being celebrity brothers in the Kollywood and having rolled out several success films over the years, Suriya and Karthi may want to avoid a clash in the box office.
Meanwhile, Suriya’s next will be produced by S.R. Prabhu's Dream Warrior Pictures. Prabhu confirmed on Twitter last week that he would be producing the actor's 36th film which is yet to be titled.
