Former Bigg Boss contestant Sofia Hayat, who became a nun (or rather claimed so) and adopted the name 'Gaia Sofia Mother' last year, is now engaged. Announcing the news on social media, the model-actor-nun posted a series of photos flaunting her engagement ring on Instagram.
Without revealing the identity of her fiance, she also post a photo of their wedding rings. The caption read: "Our wedding rings from the Love collection Cartier. They have a circle on them with a line in the middle showing the 2 halves of a whole. He is me and I am him. He is so beautiful! I fell in love because he is a true gentleman. He opens the door before I walk in, kisses my forehead in the morning, pulls out my chair at dinner, surprises me every day, knows what makes me smile, kisses me in a way that makes me forget time and all things of matter. He is a true Gentlemen. He remembers the smallest things. He is not rich in the material sense. He does not own a house, or a car, but he owns my heart. He is rich in gentleness, kindness and Unconditional love. That makes him the richest man in the World to me. His qualities are simply beyond most peoples riches. I am so grateful and humbled by his love. He is a humble man and I have surrendered to his Unconditional love in all my vulnerability.”
Hayat made headlines in 2012 for posting a nude photo of herself with her former boyfriend Rohit Sharma. However, she became famous only after her wild card entry in the seventh season of the reality show Bigg Boss, in 2013.
In April last year, Hayat indicated a change in heart in a post on Instagram, with a caption that read: “We are beautiful without makeup...hair colour...fashion... We are perfect as we are. I’m sorry I gave you the impression otherwise. I am changed. I love you all. Gaia Sofia Mother.”
Her transformation from a model to nun could be traced in a series of photos she had been posting on Instagram through last year. She called herself 'Divine mother' and promised to be everyone's mother. Hayat, or Mother Sofia as she preferred then, took the vow to not have sex again and sought apology for her 'previous life' as a model. "I will not marry or have sex as I need to save myself for my children. I am the Holy Mother,” she had said.
Recently, she was in news for posting photos of her feet inked with swastika, on Instagram.
