Tamil superstar Rajinikanth's daughter and acclaimed director Soundarya Rajinikanth rammed her car into a stationary auto-rickshaw at Alwarpet in Chennai on Tuesday, according to reports. The auto driver reportedly sustained minor injuries in the accident.
Media reports said that the driver of the auto had threatened to file a police complaint against Soundarya. However, the two parties reached a compromise after Soundarya's brother-in-law and actor Dhanush rushed to the spot and spoke to the aggrieved driver. He was reportedly been assured medical help and other monetary compensation by the star family.
Soundarya is currently directing the sequel of Velraj's 2014 entertainer Velai Illa Pattadhari in which Dhanush and Amala Paul play the lead roles. The film also features Bollywood actor Kajol.
Soundarya had taken a break from direction after her wedding to a businessman. However, she filed for divorce last year.
