Ever since the release of the national award winning magnum opus Baahubali—the beginning, everybody has been waiting with a bated breath to know why Kattappa killed Baahubali.
A bit of the curiosity around it is likely to be satiated at the upcoming at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. The two-day festival is dedicated to popular Indian cinema, and one of the major highlights is the first look of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. It will be showcased on October 22, 2016.
The Movie Mela will host the cast of Baahubali 2, who will share their experiences on the making of the movie. The historical fiction film, directed by S.S. Rajamouli, has garnered an unbelievable fan following. The concluding part promises to be grander and visually more dramatic than part one.
Baahubuli team will also launch the teaser of a virtual reality spin off film set around the world of Baahubali, and give the audience a sneak-peak into a game and comic based on the epic franchise.
Speaking about the launch, Rajamouli said, “I am really excited to share the first look of Baahubali 2 with all the fans. Doing it at MAMI Mela is going to be a lot of fun. Especially with the entire cast on stage with me.”
Baahubali became one of the biggest, top grossing movies of 2015. The Telugu version of the movie garnered the Best Feature Film-Golden Lotus Award and the Best Special Effects at the 63rd National Film Awards. Baahubali is India’s biggest motion picture and is the largest worldwide release of any Indian film, in different languages.
