Meanwhile, another trade analyst Komal Nahta said Dilwale became the biggest opener for a Bollywood film.

“Dilwale Overseas: Gulf - biggest ever opening for a bollywood film, and the no. 1 film this weekend, higher than Star Wars and other films,” he tweeted.

“Dilwale Overseas: Australia - biggest opening of 2015, biggest ever for SRK,” he said, adding that the film in New Zealand is on holds second place on box office charts, in USA, it is on 9 place in Top 10 chart.

Dilwale, a potboiler from the successful Rohit Shetty-Shah Rukh Khan duo, opened last Friday mostly to poor reviews. However, reviews are unlikely to bother the filmmakers so long as the film keeps the cash registers ringing.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani, the love story of a Maratha ruler, has mostly received rave reviews.
