Dance with me, dad!

Like father, like son. A compliment that would warm the cockles of every father's heart. And nowhere is the compliment paid more, than in Bollywood, which has its share of father-son duos.

Recently, when choreographer Mugur Sundar shook a leg with his choreographer-turned-actor-turned-director son Prabhu Deva, the internet broke. Deva's parents had come on stage of a dance reality show where he was the judge. Sundar, who has choreographed over 10,000 dance sequences in south Indian films, and Deva danced to Gandi Baat from the latter's R... Rajkumar, with his mother Mahadevamma enjoying every moment from the sidelines.

The video went viral, earning more than 4.5 lakh views. Here's a look at other father-son duos in Bollywood who set the stage on fire:

The Bachchans

Cool son, and even cooler dad. Bachchan Sr and Jr are, arguably, the most famous father and son in Bollywood. They have acted together in a number of films, such as Paa (where the roles were reversed!), Sarkar and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. But, it was the song Kajra re from Bunty Aur Babli (2005)—their first film together—with Aishwarya Rai, which took the cherry. The Bachchans recreated the magic several times after that on stage and screen, including sharing the stage to help tsunami victims in 2005.

The Roshans

The son is one of the best dancers Bollywood has ever seen. Hrithik Roshan had the world at his feet with a sensational debut in Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, directed by his actor-father Rakesh Roshan. Though the senior Roshan has delivered some of the biggest hits for his son from behind the camera, he joined Hrithik on stage for Mumbai Police's annual show. Mr Twinkle Toes convinced his father to shake a leg with him on the song Ek Pal Ka Jeena from his first film. And boy, did the Mumbai crowd love it!

The Kapoors

With its four generations involved in Bollywood, this family is synonymous with the Hindi film industry. Ranbir Kapoor, the latest entry into Bollywood from the illustrious family, has not only earned a reputation as a talented actor but has also grabbed eyeballs with his killer moves in dancing shoes. His father Rishi was no different, holding his own against superstar Rajesh Khanna in his heydays. A year before the father and son came together for Besharam in 2013, they rocked the stage together at an award event.

The Deols

Now here's a family who takes pride in having two left feet! Dharmendra and his son Sunny have never really set the screen on fire with their dance moves. Bobby and the youngest one, Abhay are a shade better. Dharmendra has shared screen space with Sunny and Bobby in Apne, Yamla Pagla Deewana and its sequel. The sons even dedicated a song in the sequel to their father's unique dancing skills. The three have shook legs together in the two films and also during the music launch of Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, where they were joined by Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Hrithik.
