Baahubali sequel may not release in 2016

The second part of the blockbuster, Baahubali: The Conclusion, may not release in 2016 as announced before.

According to the latest reports, about 70 per cent of the film is yet to be shot and the shooting would go on until next July. Following the completion of the shoot, the VFX work will begin, which is more likely to postpone the release of the film to 2017.

The two-part epic tale from the ace director S.S Rajamouli broke several box office records for a movie from down south. Its Hindi version alone crossed Rs 100 crore mark, a first for a dubbed movie. The film totally raked in over Rs 600 crore worldwide.

The first part ends with a cliffhanger with the death of the titular character, Baahubali, rising the expectations of audience from the second part to a whole new level.

Baahubali deals with family feud stemming from struggle for thrown between two brothers. The mega budget film stars Prabhas and Rana Daggubati in the lead roles.
