Before his much-publicised arrest in the sensational actress attack case, actor Dileep was an integral part of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). And now, after his expulsion from the association, it seems that Dileep is no longer interested to return to the limelight.
Although AMMA stood by him during the initial days of the case, the association’s decision to sack him had come as a bolt out of the blue for the actor. According to sources, Dileep has vowed never to rejoin AMMA, even if he was acquitted of all the charges.
The organisation had earlier said that they stood by the victim and it would continue to extend all support to her in her fight seeking justice.
Meanwhile, the Kerala High Court is considering the bail plea of the actor. Dileep, who was arrested on the charges of criminal conspiracy in the February 17 actress attack case, has been lodged at Aluva sub jail for more than a month now.
