The police will file a case against a witness who changed his deposition to support actor Dileep in the February 17 actress assault case.

The witness, an employee of Laksyah textile shop in Kakkanad, owned by Dileep's wife, Kavya Madhavan, had told the police initially that main accused Sunil Kumar, aka Pulsar Suni, had visited the shop when he was in hiding after the kidnap and assault of the actress.

Now, the witness has stated that he does not know of Suni's visit to Laksyah.

The court was informed a month ago that the key witness in the case has taken a position different from what he told the police earlier. The investigators had evidence that Kavya's driver had called the witness 41 times. They suspect that the intention behind the calls was to influence the witness to alter his deposition.
