Madhavan backs Rajinikanth, Kamal's entry into politics

Actor R. Madhavan has extended his support to superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan as they announced their entry in politics.

While promoting his upcoming web-series Breathe in Chennai, he was asked what he thinks about Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan's entry into politics, he said if serving people is the reason to join politics, then it is a good thing.

"I fully support them. It feels good when honest people enter politics and do their best to clean it," Madhavan said.

In a much-anticipated moment for all his fans and well-wishers, superstar Rajinikanth confirmed his entry into politics on December 31.

He also said that he will be contesting in the next state assembly elections by forming a new party.

While Kamal Haasan announced that at the beginning of his political tour, he would reveal the name of his political party and the principles of the same.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amazon prime released the much-awaited trailer for its latest show Breathe, which stars Madhavan, Amit Sadh and Sapna Pabbi in the lead roles.

Written and directed by Mayank Sharma, Breathe follows a series of murders of organ donors who are connected to Danny Mascarenhas, played by Madhavan.

It is a trilingual series, the first of its kind for Amazon that will be made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu simultaneously; the show will start streaming from January 26.
