Jon Snow's fate in 'Game of Thrones' confirmed?

Snow (File) The show’s long-awaited series premiere will finally air on HBO on April 24

If the first episode synopsis for the ‘Game of Thrones’ ahead of the new series premiere is to be trusted, Jon Snow is really dead.

The short guide teasing the content of the first episode ‘The Red Woman’ said, “Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again,” the Daily Mail reported.

Prosaic words indeed and surely ample proof that the popular hero, who is played by upper crust heartthrob Kit Harington, is dead for good.

There may be more to Jon’s fate than meets the eye, but for now, it seems we’ll pick up right where we left off at the end of Season 5 that saw the jolly Lord Commander of the Night's Watch bleeding out into the snow after being betrayed by his Night’s Watch brethren.

The show’s long-awaited series premiere will finally air on HBO on April 24.
