Ayesha Takia's perfect response to trolls

After a day of being mercilessly trolled and body-shamed, Bollywood actor Ayesha Takia finally strikes back, in a subtle way. She was trolled on Friday after her photos from an event in which she looked drastically different, went viral. Takia's new look, with enlarged lips and seemingly frozen cheeks, invited speculations that she had gone under the knife, and trolls that compared her to 'Indian' Kim Kardashian.

The barrage of trolls ridiculed the Socha Na Tha star for an alleged plastic surgery 'that went terribly wrong', and also went a bit further to even take a dig at her husband who is a “rich businessman''. Takia is married to Farhan Azmi, son of Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi.

Takia, who did not immediately respond, graciously dealt with it with two Instagram posts that seem to be directed at trolls. Posting a selfie, she captioned: Don't let anyone tell u to dim ur confidence and self love. We live in a world of judgements and bullying, so we need to rise above that n just be who we are and be proud of it. LOVE URSELF.

In another post, she shared a motivational quote by Dita Von Teese, "You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world and there's still going to be someone in the world who hates peaches."

But some people never miss a chance to squeeze in a ridiculous comment. Takia's Instagram posts, too, have a series of body-shaming comments. To the peach quote, a user comments: Sorry but no one likes peaches that have become nice n juicy coz of the excessive use of chemicals n injections!!Even you wouldnt like those!

To one of these comments, she replied: a handful of vicious ppl spreading lies n morphed pics don't bother me.. the truth will prevail.

Meanwhile, some of her fans have come up with full support and said she is beautiful.

Rumour has it that Takia might make a comeback soon with media reports on her being in talks with two production houses for projects this year.
