If reports are to be believed, superstar Rajinikanth's most-anticipated movie Kabali has been leaked online.

According to reports, there are several links on the dark web that allows to either download or stream Kabali. However, for now, the film is not available on torrent sites.

The latest development comes even as the makers of the film moved the court and secured an injection against about 180 websites and countless unknown sites to fight the online piracy. The Madras High Court last week directed Internet Service Providers to block websites offering illegal downloads.

With just three days to go for Kabali release, the expectations are soaring. Several corporate brands, including AirAsia, Airtel, have been providing Kabali-themed services and merchandise to cash in on the fan frenzy.

And for all the investors, the film leaking online even before the release is indeed a bad news.

The Censor Board chief talking to a publication passed the buck to the regional office saying, the film was censored in Chennai and it has nothing to with the Mumbai office.

Of late, many big releases have been the victims of online piracy, taking a toll on their box office collections. Popular films like Udta Punjab, Sultan and even Great Grand Masti found their way onto file sharing sites, before hitting the big screen.

However, industry sources believe that the leak is very unlikely to keep movie fans in India and around the world from enjoying Kabali at theatres.

Kabali, which is releasing in around 12,000 screens across the world, is expected to break all the box office records.

The craze around the film has hit a fever pitch, with reports suggesting that tickets for the first three days have been sold out.

The media reports have it that Kabali tickets were sold out within two hours in the United States, where the film is releasing in 400 screens.

Kabali is due in theatres on July 22.
