Professors and students of the Maharaja college in Mysuru have protested against the shooting of Malayalam film Jana Gana Mana on the campus. According to reports, students were unhappy with the movie being shot on campus during working days Monday and Tuesday.

They said they did not have any objection with shooting on the premises on Sundays or holidays. The campus is a much-loved shooting location and has been featured in multiple south Indian films.

Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, the film features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles. The film is bankrolled by Prithviraj’s wife Supriya Menon for their home production banner Prithviraj Productions.

Jana Gana Mana reunites Prithviraj and Suraj after the duo’s box office hit Driving Licence in 2019.

Prithviraj was last seen in Kuruthi which premiered on Amazon Prime Video.
