US President Donald Trump's administration is keen to participate and nurture entrepreneurial minds in India and South Asia.

The American Centres across the country are allocating space for hosting startup accelerator programmes.

The accelerator lab Nexus in Delhi's American Centre has come from the space devoted to the library of the centre for many years.

The programme entails a 13-week course for young entrepreneurs. "We would also run special programmes aimed at women entrepreneurs," said Erik Asulag, an entrepreneur hired by Texas University to run the programme in South Asia.

The Nexus startup accelerator programme would next be headed to train entrepreneurs in Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

At a graduation ceremony on Thursday, entrepreneurs showcased solutions to live-track your car on map alongside its performance, recyclable plates and cups made using sugar cane waste, and a genetic test for Rs 4,000 which can foretell your life risks based on your genetical makeup.
