Pelvic Stretch

Pelvic cavity houses the uro-genital organs. Here is a technique to stretch this region. In this, the stretch of the quadriceps (the large muscle at the front of the thigh) from the bending of the knee is used to deepen the stretch for the pelvis. This is especially useful for women suffering from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

Note: Ensure the chair is of good quality without sharp edges.

METHOD:

* Place a blanket on the rib of an inverted chair.

* Place two pillows stacked close to the chair.

* Kneel down on the pillows, join the heels and sit on the heels.

* Sit upright with the back close to the chair.

* Gently lean backward. Hips may be raised slightly.

* Stretch arms up and backward.

* Relax the neck and stay for about two minutes with slow and deep breathing.

* Slowly bring the arms back to hold the chair, return to start and relax.
