* Do warm-up for at least 10 minutes
Keeping the muscles warm before exercising will prevent injuries as it prepares the body for the workout. You could also invest in a lacrosse ball or a foam roller and use it to target a specific muscle for stretching. Static stretching after workout is a must for improving flexibility and cooling down.
* Learn before you do it
Get a good understanding of the proper form and posture for an exercise. Look online or ask a certified trainer. Doing it wrong may cause injury.
* Complete body workout
Always work on a complete body training programme, where both your upper and lower body are taken care of. Training one body portion or part more than the other will result in disproportionate distribution of strength.
* A holistic approach towards training
Eating right for muscle and bone development is of utmost importance. Remember, you are what you eat.
