For those special selfies...

  • A special-edition device, for die-hard IPL fans!

Your favourite team jersey, caps, mobile back cover, the team flag, a badge on Facebook, and conversations with fellow team supporters, opponent team supporters, the chaiwallah, the self-proclaimed T-20 expert. A lot of things have defined the extravagant experience that the Indian Premier League brought to a country that was (and still is) maniacal about two things – cricket and glamour.

To this long nostalgic list of things mentioned above, you can now add what could probably become a very valuable piece of memorabilia in the future—a special edition IPL 10th year smartphone. Vivo, the principal sponsors of the IPL have just released a matte black version of their 2017 flagship device —the Vivo V5 Plus—that has the 10th anniversary IPL logo engraved in gold in the black panel.

The USP of the V5 Plus is its 20 MP dual front camera along with moonlight selfie features that basically replaces the flash with a bulb-like focus light. The first lens helps to create a high resolution images and the second provides depth of field, which helps to put more focus on the subject or the person and less focus on the background. Basically, one lens captures your face in all its glory and the second one enhances the background.

Additionally, the Bokeh effect allows you to focus on one particular aspect of the photograph while blurring everything else. The 4GB + 64GB configuration gives you enough space to store all your images and videos, and a few games. It is powered by a Snapdragon Octa Core processor. The device is sleek, handy and the matte black variant looks quite classy.

The V5 plus is a dual-SIM device with support for 4G LTE. The 3055mAh battery lasted an t day, even after clicking a number of selfies. It also has the fast charging technology and OTG support. The device is available on Flipkart at an asking price of Rs. 25,990.
