A novel penned by two professionals inspires young people to pursue their dreams
One can think of any number of ways to promote startup culture in India -- and government has set in motion a few of its own. Now, two first-time authors have taken a fictional route.
Bangalore based Sarita Raghuvanshi (alumni of Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering) and Ahmedabad based Anand Bhate (alumni of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management,) have penned a novel called "C + Plus Doctor Thepla".
The story of revolves around Abhishek Patel, an Engineering student at Bangalore, who wants to become a chef and start-up his 'Thepla' restaurant chain globally. Being a chef isn't a career that his father (a doctor) could accept, and his neighbor 'Manjoo Mausi' ensures that he becomes at least an Engineer, if not a Doctor.
Abhishek has to go through a lot of family and societal objections while pursuing his dream of a start-up. The novel takes you through the journey of Abhishek's school and college life that every Indian student can relate to.
Sarita Raghuvanshi is a MC (Master of Ceremonies). Since her first event in 2007, she has anchored 900+ National and International large format live and televised events in 15+ countries.
Anand Bhate is the Director of 'Jeevan Anand Builders', a Gujarat-based real estate development company. The book which costs Rs 160 can be bought on Amazon.
