Even as widespread speculations about the health condition of Jayalalithaa, who has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai, continue to fly thick and fast, former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju made an astounding revelations about his relationship with the Tamil Nadu chief minister.
Katju, who has often been in the news for his controversial comments, confessed that he had fallen in love with Jayalalithaa when he was young. "When I was a young man, I found her extremely attractive and had fallen in love with her, though of course she did not know about it, and it was unrequited love," he said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
He said he still found Jayalalithaa attractive and that he was still in love with her.
“I still find her attractive (which unfortunately I am not now), and am still in love with her, and wish her speedy recovery. Hari Om,” Katju said his post.
He also called the chief minister a lioness and her opponents langoors.
Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo hospital in Chennai on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration.
According to latest medical bulletins, the chief minister is on respiratory support and requires longer stay in the hospital.
