Nalini Chidambaram, wife of Congress heavy weight and former union minister P. Chidambaram, has been summoned by Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Saradha scam investigation.

ED sources in Kolkata said that Nalini was the lawyer of Sudipta Sen, the arrested emperor of Saradha group. It's not known when Nalini would appear before the agency.

The CBI chargesheet had mentioned that Nalini "broke the ethics" being a lawyer in claiming huge amount of money from Sen.

ED is currently tracing the thousands of crores of rupees which were siphoned off by many people, including politicians, artists and cine stars, in connection with the case.

An officer of ED said, "We hope Mrs Chidambaram would throw some light on crucial points."

The CBI, however, has not interrogated or summoned Nalini yet.
