Super star Rajinikanth's upcoming film Kabali is all set to hit the screens on July 1, according to industry sources. The buzz is that the film will make a biggest mark in the Indian film industry.
Directed by ace director Pa. Ranjith in four languages—Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam—Kabali is expected to be the biggest ever world-wide release for an Indian film. Industry sources say that the film will hit 5000 screens worldwide simultaneously.
Kabali's theatrical rights, merchandise and endorsement deals are said to have fetched a whopping Rs. 200 crore till date. The movie is said to be the hottest in Indian film trade when it comes to theatrical rights and merchandise. The film's Telugu and Hindi dubbing rights are said to have been sold for several crores recently. France distribution rights and Chinese dubbing rights are also said to be on a perfect deal. Kabali's China release is also scheduled to be on India release date.
Rajinikanth, in his late 60s is still the superstar in the Tamil film industry with fans across the globe. Though his earlier films Kochadaaiyan and Linga trumped in the market, Kabali is said to take his stakes high again. The film's teaser has already got more than 20 million views.
Director Pa. Ranjith who is known for his directorial abilities and for churning out critically acclaimed films in his career. With talented Radhika Apte starring opposite to Rajnikanth, Kabali is expected to be a big boon for the macho hero.
